Aquagro limited started in 1995 as one man’s dream to make a difference in the country. Having spent several years in engineering both in Liberia and Canada, our founder, Mr. Kofi Forson, has always had an affinity to problem solving. Upon his return to Ghana, he took a deep interest in the water and agricultural sector, despite his previous dearth of experience, spurred on by his recognition of the massive potential for improvement. Aquagro’s first foray into the field was working with an Israeli company known as Netafim to bring the novel technology of DRIP IRRIGATION to Ghana. The success of our campaign with Netafim further strengthened our resolve that the area of water and agriculture was where the most growth was as well as being the area that would best have an immediate change on the lives of the average Ghanaian.

Aquagro then turned our attention to the Water Sector. We worked closely with the Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA) in the import and installation of Handpumps in rural areas to provide clean drinking water. We also set up a training programme to educate specific locals on both installation and maintenance of these handpumps. This not only provided them with employment opportunities but also ensured that the project was self sustaining. We managed to successfully install several handpumps and train several area mechanics in a successful joint operation. By now, Aquagro had gained recognition across Ghana for not only our success but also our dedication to excellence and our reliability. During our dealings with the CWSA, we discovered were introduced to an Italian company known then as Astore. At the end of the project, they reached out to us, asking if we would serve as an partner to import and distribute their materials across the region. We have maintained our relationship through their merger with Aliaxis group, and have concurrently expanded our portfolio, enabling us to supply a diverse range of pipe fittings for several major building projects all around Ghana. Some of the projects we have supplied to include the Villagio Aqua Apartment Complex, The Movenpick Ambassador Hotel and the Accra and Kumasi Malls. Our range of fittings include HDPE, PVC, PP-R and have options for both pressure and drainage. We also have Butt Welding and Electrofusion options.

After over 25 years in the water industry, we have become one of the leading names in water, working with companies like Interplast and Duraplast. We have also fostered a great relationship with several renowned companies like Regimanuel Estates, Trassaco, Contracta, Agritop and Seepacs.
